Class Introduction
AP European History Prep course is designed to prepare students for the AP European History exam. Encompassing European history from c. 1450 to the present, the course delves into cultural, political, and economic changes. Students will explore key events, figures, and ideas that have profoundly influenced the history of Europe and the world. The curriculum provides an in-depth examination of major historical events, movements, and themes shaping Europe’s past and present, including the Renaissance, Reformation, Scientific Revolution, French Revolution, Napoleon, Industrial Revolution, World War I & II, the Cold War, and more recent events.
In addition, the course will include a strategy component focused on preparing students for the multiple-choice portion of the AP European History exam. The teacher will provide students with strategies and techniques for effectively answering multiple-choice questions related to European history. This will help students gain a solid understanding of the key concepts and practices in European history and develop the analytical and critical thinking skills that are essential for success on the AP European History exam.

Feedback
Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email.
