Class Introduction
The AP Computer Science A Prep course is specifically designed to prepare students for the AP Computer Science A exam. Throughout the course, students will cultivate a profound understanding of programming structures and practices, involving both the comprehension and creation of code for computer programs. Emphasizing exam readiness, the course will incorporate strategies and techniques tailored for addressing multiple-choice questions on the AP Computer Science A exam. Covered topics may include algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and effective problem-solving.
Outcome
After completing the course, students are expected to reach the following goals:
- Understand programming structures and practices including reading and writing code for computer programs.
- Familiarity with the format and content of the AP Computer Science A exam
- Increase confidence and readiness for the AP Computer Science A exam
- Identify the exam success strategy/strategies to implement for the exam
Feedback
Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email.
