Competition Details

1. Rounds

The 2025 International Psychology Olympiad (IPsyO) features two rounds: an Individual Qualification Round with a 300-question Grand Test, and a Team-based Final Round. Top performers from each region advance and form teams, competing through a Material-based Objective Exam and a Research Proposal Presentation.

  • Material-based Objective Exam: 5 reading materials, 20 objective questions for each, with 120 minutes to complete the exam.
  • Research Proposal Presentation: Prepare a research proposal based on the provided topic. 7 days for preparation, 7 minutes for presentation.

The event focuses on deep psychology knowledge and applied research skills.

2. Advancement Rules for 2025 IPsyO

In the 2025 IPsyO, top-scoring students from each region in the Qualifying Round advance by forming teams. Regions with 50 or fewer participants advance one team; those with more than 50 advance two. Each team comprises 1-3 members, with rankings determining placements: the top three scorers make up the first team, and if eligible, the next three form the second. To qualify, students must achieve at least a Distinction on the Grand Test.
