School Overview
How do we calculate the matriculation rate?

Regarding matriculation capabilities, we will primarily examine the admission data of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and MIT within these schools. When discussing admission data, it’s essential to differentiate between “attendance data” and “acceptance data.” In general, attendance data tends to be lower compared to acceptance data because a student may receive acceptance from multiple schools but will ultimately attend only one.

Since most of the 10 boarding schools disclose matriculation (attendance) data rather than acceptance data, this article refers to the latest matriculation data disclosed on the official websites of these schools up to the publication date.

Since the data disclosed by each school may span across different years, we have specified the years under the “Reference School Year” column.

Here is how we calculate the Matriculation Rate: Matriculation Rate = [(Number of Students Enrolled ÷ Number of Years) ÷ Number of 12th Graders] * 100%
