Class Introduction
This is a sequence of lessons suitable for an incoming high-school student or a 9th/ 10th grader. Students will develop their critical reading skills. They will also learn to write analytically.
Outcome
After completing the course, students are expected to reach the following goals:
- Learn about literary elements (irony, theme, characterization, etc)
- Read John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men
- Write literary analysis paragraphs
- Write a literary analysis essay
