Students who want to learn foundational biology
All levels
One-on-one and small group (Max. 7 students/class)
Class Introduction
This course will cover the material students learn in 9th-grade biology class, focusing on scientific skills. Students will use various learning methods to study these topics, including labs, hands-on experiments, debates, and lectures.
Teacher Background

Outcome
After completing the course, students are expected to reach the following goals:
- Learn biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology and cell biology
- Apply basic principles to understand human biology, including the structure and regulation of genes, the structure and synthesis of proteins, and multicellular systems
Learning Topics
Topics include but are not limited to: Biochemistry, cell structure and function, energy transfer in biology, chromosome theory of inheritance, central dogma, Mendelian genetics, evolution, ecology, etc.
Feedback
Students and their parents will receive brief feedback after each class regarding the student’s general participation in class. Students will also receive feedback on graded assignments via email.
