The Kenyon Review, a prestigious literary publication, was founded by Roberta Teale Swartz, a well-known poet, and Gordon Keith Chalmers, the thirteenth president of Kenyon College. The Kenyon Review has become one of the most influential literary magazines in the English-speaking world.

Competition Details
1. Competition List
The Kenyon Review hosts two competitions: the Patricia Grodd Poetry Prize for Young Writers (for students in their sophomore and junior year) and the Kenyon Review Poetry Contest.
2. Prizes
The competition winner will have their work published in print in The Kenyon Review. In addition, the author will receive a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Kenyon Review Writers Workshops.
Submission Details
- Submit via the Submittable portal starting November 1.
- Paper submissions are not accepted.
- Writers must not have published a book of poetry before submission.
- A “published book of poetry” includes full-length books, chapbooks, or collections published in any format by others.
- Only one poem per submission, up to five pages long.
- Submit only once per year.
- Simultaneous submissions to other magazines or contests are not allowed.
- Previously published work cannot be submitted.
- Remove your name and identifying information from the manuscript before submitting.
