The American Debate League was founded in 2014 as a nonprofit organization. The organization aims to provide young people opportunities to develop debating, speaking, and literacy skills through competitions.

Competition Details
1. Programs
The main debate competition that the American Debate League hosts are the Speech & Debate Tournament. The tournament has three different divisions: Elementary School, Middle School, and High School
American Debate League also hosts various events and competitions for elementary students to high school students.
- Public Speaking and Public Forum Debate for 4-5th, 6-8th and 9-12th graders: In a team of two, students debate a topic concerning a current event. Judges are community members of the America Debate League.
- Lincoln Douglas Debate for 9-12th graders: Using the one-on-one format, within 45 minutes, students debate on various topics. Examples: individual freedom, collective good to economic development, environmental protection, etc.
In addition to the competitions, American Debate League also provides:
- Summer Debate Camps for elementary to high school students
- Regional Debate Centers for debate and public speaking education for students without access to such programs

- American Debate League Tournament: Debate Tournament ($65/participant) and Speech Tournament ($30/participant).
