1. Overview
The Caribou Cup is an international online math competition held six times a year, offering contests in seven grade levels (from K/1 to 11/12). Students compete in their grade level or a higher one if desired, with 50 minutes to complete each contest.
- Languages: Available in English, French, Persian, Mandarin, Ukrainian, Khmer, Vietnamese, and Bahasa Melayu.
- Timing: Students can participate within their school’s contest window (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM local time), with contests running on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Special Features: Includes interactive math games, math history questions, and video solutions. Prizes and certificates are awarded for participation and top performance.
2. Fee
- Free for the first contest (October) and the lowest grade level (K/1).
- Yearly Access Code fee: $14.40 CAD for grades 2–4 and $24.00 CAD for grades 5–12.
- School-wide access option: $512 CAD for unlimited participants.
- Free participation for students in specific countries (e.g., Ghana, Ukraine).
3. Upcoming Contests
- Mathematics Contests: Held in November, January, February, April, and May for grades K/1 through 11/12.
- Coding Contests: Held in December and May, with a 2-hour time limit.
- Calcrostic Contests: Scheduled for March, requiring one non-math credit per test.
